Scania Vabis is a famous brand for manufacturing trucks and cars in Sweden since the year 1911. Scania and Vabis were two different companies, merged in 1911 to manufacture cars and trucks. The car stopped its production in 1929. Vabis later on discontinued its truck production in the year 1968. In the very beginning, the company manufactured and marketed some fabulous cars in the market. They were known worldwide for their toughness, comfort and reliable commercial vehicles. The LB76 model was developed in 1963, model got famous as the Scania Vabis Company outside Sweden. This model was the first forward- control designed truck. Scania Vabis produced many inexpensive, imported cars. The model 3S has some special features. It had a unique phone in the car so that the passenger could communicate with the driver. Scania later on merged with SAAB. Finally the company was named as SAAB-Scania AB. The company shareholders divided in the year 1995, after that the company simply called as Scania AB.
