Ford Maverick was a car in the 1970s in United States. It remained in production from the year 1969 to 1977. The car was marketed as the two door sedan and was priced nearly at $2000. The car was easy to maintain for the buyers and easy to manufacture for the makers. The name of the car came from group of animals and the number plate was designed in the form of cow head. The car’s competition was with Volkswagen Beetle and Japanese cars at the time. Its four door sedan variant was also launched in the year 1971.  There were two engine variants namely 170 CID and 200 CID. Third variant was also added in the year 1970 and it was called 250 CID. The sales dropped in the year 1975 by the launch of newer cars Ford Granada and Mercury Monarch.
