Simca 8 is a Fiat car first made and sold in France. It was built at the Fiat’s Simca plant in France. The previous name of this car was Fiat 508C. It was sold between the years 1937 and 1951. It was even a popular car during the wartime and it had variants like sedan or a cab variant. Simca’s boss Henri Pigozzi tested the car for non-stop split of 50000 kilometers. The car had a four-cylinder engine with 1090CC and it generated 32 BHP at 4000 rotations per minute. Fiat redesigned the engine in 1949 with a 1221 cc engine. There were two variants available i.e. 4-door saloon version and two door cabriolet version. The four-door version had unusual design that there was no central pillar between the front and the rear doors so that front and rear doors were opened simultaneously.
