Mazda when introduced became a trendsetter because it changed the curvy structure to an upright automobile with the introduction of Mazda 121 Metro. The trend has seen manufacturing of small cars in wagon style by several car companies. It is based on the front drive platform and had a wheelbase and length of its predecessor Mazda 121 Bubble but was distinctly wider and higher. The car can accommodate 4 fully grown adults and spare space for luggage. It has foldable seats that would facilitate storing of odd shaped items. The car was powered by a 1.3-litre fuel injection 4-valve, 4-cylinder engine that generated 55kW. You had a transmission option of either 5 speed manual or three speed auto transmissions. It was fitted with the brake combination of front disc brake and rear drum brake and had powered assisted steering. All the Mazda 121 models sported cup holders, storage bins, a sound system and a driver’s airbag.
