Lancia Appia is a small family car manufactured by Lancia from 1953-1963. Three series of Lancia Appia were built. All models are equipped with a 1089 cc V4 engine. About 98,027 units were produced in between 1953 – 1963. The first series (1953 – 1956) is a sedan that looks similar to Aurelia. The second series (1956 – 1959) offers longer wheelbase, bigger boot and more powerful engine. The third series (1959 – 1963) is a sportier 2 door coupe equipped with horizontal grille and low bonnet line. Lancia Appia is available in different body styles including 4 door Berlina, 2 door coupes, 2 door convertible and 3 door estate. The designer of the coupe is Pininfarine. The designer of the convertible is Giovanni Mechelotti from Vignale. The convertible and coupe lusso is equipped with a 53 bhp engine. It can accommodate 5 passengers and the passenger space is 3520 litres. It offers 4 speed manual transmissions.
