Citroen GS came from the French car manufacture Citroen in the year 1970 and lasted until year 1980. These are the smaller family cars and it bragged the European car of the year award in 1971. This car was the leading car then and it was best car for comfort and safety. The idea for the small family cars came in year 1960 with launch of Citroen C60. The car Citroen GS came after the “project G”. Pininfarina designed this car although the company claimed the design as their own. The car was launched in 1970. It was a saloon car with three lateral windows and sharp tail. The aerodynamics was very efficient and this gave the car best drag than any other model at that time.
