Citroën BX is the big family car which was manufactured by Citroën, the French manufacturer from year 1982 till year 1994. The hatchback of this brand was further discontinued in year 1993 with arrival of Xantia, but estate however continued for one more year. Citroën BX was introduced in Paris in the year 1982 under Eiffel Tower. However, BX is well designed for replacing flourishing small family car with the huge vehicle. The campaign of French advertising used one slogan which shows that car is accompanied by the music which is written exclusively by Julien Clerc. The BX even dispensed of air cooled which is flat 4 engine that is powered with GS, and it is replaced with latest PSA group TU, XU and XY series of the petrol engines which is available in various liters of displacements. The models of 1.1 as well as 1.4 models used PSA X engine which is known extensively as "Suitcase Engine" and "Douvrin" with their roots in Renault 14 and Peugeot 104, but 1.6 as well as 1.9 used all-latest XU-series of engine which was later used in several Peugeots.
