Kia Optima is a four door sedan manufactured by Kia Motors from 2000 – 2005. Kia Optima is available in 4 different models including LX, EX, SX and SXL. The LX and EX models are powered by 2.4 liters I4 DOHC 16 valve engine that generates a max power of 200 hp @ 6300 rpm and a max torque of 186 lb. –ft @ 250 rpm. The SX and SXL models are powered by turbocharged 2.0 liters I4 DOHC 16 valve engine that generates a max power of 274 hp @6000 rpm and a max torque of 269 lb. –ft @ 1750 – 4500 rpm. Kia Optima offers gasoline direct injection (GDI) and 6 speed electronically controlled transmission. The fuel economy is 18.5 mpg. It is equipped with a number of safety features including dual front advanced air bags, full length side curtain air bags, dual front seat mounted air bags, front and rear 3 point seat belts, front seat belt pretensioners and lower anchors and tethers for children. Standard features found in Kia Optima include USB/Auxiliary input jacks, BLUETOOTH Wireless Technology, smart key and push button start and steering wheel mounted audio control buttons.
