THE CULT OF DODGE MAGNUM The label Dodge Magnum is used by many Dodge vehicles, prominently as a large coupe, and as a rear-wheel drive station wagon introduced in 2004 Most Magnums were rear-wheel drive, but Dodge offered all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions of the SXT and RT. Because of their added traction capabilities, these AWD wagons could serve well as an SUV alternative for consumers living in poor-weather climates. No Magnum was really meant for towing, In the year 2005, Magnum ‘s RWD SXT model had a four-speed automatic transmission, though it was upgraded to a five-speed unit. A model that arrived for 2007 added 10 horses , and had higher-quality cabin materials and quite an upscale appearance. In the United states and Canada, Dodge Magnum was an addition to the Chrysler line. The Magnum was sold in two variants, the "XE" and the "GT”. The Magnum had upgraded power steering, brakes and seats. Technology was advanced for the time with an onboard spark control computer from inception, electronic ignition, and a lockup torque converter.
